The Role As the Dayshift Mechanical Engineer, you’ll: Maintain and troubleshoot MTHW/LTHW pressure heating water systems, critical systems and equipment, and pressurised steam systems. Utilize cause-effect analysis, detailed examination, and all relevant drawings and schematics to gain solutions. Carry out planned preventative maintenance, inspections, commissioning, and testing in accordance with published procedures. Complete all necessary report sheets and test certificates, and mark up any drawing alterations. Use all relevant tools and equipment within safety guidelines, ensuring full compliance with controls like Risk Assessment, Site Safety, Fire Safety, Control of Infection, and Hazardous Substances. Work involves the use of analytical test devices, specialist tools, workshop fixed equipment, portable electrical equipment, welding equipment, emergency generators, and medical gas equipment (patient use) suction units, geared drives. You To be successful in the role of Dayshift Mechanical Engineer, you’ll bring: A recognised Mechanical/Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications. Experience in maintenance of mechanical systems, preferably in healthcare settings. Good communication skills and a proactive attitude to problem-solving.
