The Headteacher and Governing Body of Malpas Court Primary School are seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our vibrant and supportive school community. This pivotal role involves providing high-quality PPA cover for teachers across the primary age range - from Reception to Year 6. You will deliver rich learning experiences, support pupils' learning, and maintain a positive, engaging classroom environment in line with the school's values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning, preparing and delivering rich learning experiences during teacher PPA time.
- Adapt teaching strategies and differentiate learning opportunities to meet the needs of all learners.
- Monitoring learner's; assessing, recording and reporting on learners' progress and development.
- Liaise with class teachers and teaching assistants to ensure smooth transition and feedback after sessions.
- Ensure continuity of learning and maintain high standards of classroom management.
- Participate in professional learning opportunities and demonstrates a commitment to professional development.
- Support the implementation of the school curriculum and uphold safeguarding and behaviour policies.
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds HLTA status or an equivalent qualification/experience.
- Is passionate about supporting children's learning and development.
- Works well as part of a team and can collaborate effectively with colleagues across the school
- Has prior experience working across the primary age range.
- Demonstrates strong classroom management and the ability to lead learning independently.
- Models our school values, whilst always leading with integrity and professionalism.
- Is caring, creative, flexible, well-organised and confident.
