We are looking for a Business Development Manager to strengthen our team!
Your Role
Sea Logistics Sales are the business development arm of our Customer Care team. You will spend most of your time in customer-facing activities, hunting for new business as well as working closely with the Customer Care colleagues.
Your Responsibilities
* Initiate contact with potential and current customers to generate and qualify leads, promote the company's products and services, and identify sales opportunities.
* Profile and develop business relationships with prospective Sea Logistics customers through regular face-to-face engagement.
* Develop solutions for customers based on a detailed understanding of their requirements.
* Make pricing decisions in alignment with relevant internal stakeholders.
* Prepare, submit, and follow up on quotations to customers.
* Record customer-facing activities in the CRM system, meeting activity targets.
* Build a portfolio of new business customers with a focus on customer growth and profitability.
* Contribute to UK organization growth targets by meeting volume targets as a minimum.
Your Skills and Experiences
* Experience in freight forwarding is preferred.
* Driven, assertive, with strong communication skills.
* A friendly approach with the ability to influence and persuade others.
* Ability to build relationships with customers and develop sales leads.
* Effective time management and proactive planning.
* Strong internal networking skills.
* Ability to understand customer needs and translate them into successful solutions.
* A driving license is essential.
