Payroll Administrator
Lookers Head Office Manchester – Remote with occasional travel to a Lookers Dealership
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: £24,000 - £27,250 (Depending on Experience)
Hours: 37.5 per week
We are excited to say we are looking for a Payroll Administrator to join the team!
Are you detail-oriented, organised, and passionate about delivering accurate and timely payroll services? We’re looking for a Payroll Administrator to join our dynamic team and play a key role in ensuring our employees are paid correctly and on time.
Responsibilities
1. Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of monthly employment changes, including new starters, transfers, promotions, maternity, paternity, sickness, bonus, overtime and terminations
2. Assist with the completion of NMW categorisations and calculations
3. Resolve payroll related queries, delivering a high standard of customer service
4. Provide assistance and support to the wider team
5. Review processes and maintain up to date process notes and guides
6. Assist with interfaces and data loads into the payroll system
7. Support payroll control, audit and compliance
8. BACS payment processing and report production
9. Involvement in annual project activities
Qualifications
10. Knowledge of student loans, SMP, SPP, SSP and other pay related legislation
11. Strong problem solving abilities
12. Highly organised with the ability to multi-task and prioritise your own workload, as well as assist other team members where needed
13. Experience working with a fast-paced environment and the ability to meet tight deadlines
14. Strong customer service focus and the ability to build strong relationships at all levels
15. Excellent attention to detail
16. Strong verbal and written communication skills
