This is a unique opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation that supplies hydrogen power solutions to some of the UK’s most high-profile projects, supporting industries such as construction, film and TV production, major infrastructure and events.
We are now recruiting an Assistant Site Operator to support the safe and effective running of hydrogen production plants.
Key Responsibilities
* Connect and disconnect hydrogen storage vessels from process plants.
* Load and unload hydrogen cylinder packs from delivery vehicles.
* Carry out inspections and leak tests of hydrogen storage assets.
* Maintain stock levels of plant consumables and keep the site safe and tidy.
* Work alongside senior operators and the design team to understand plant operation and provide cover where required.
* Accurately record production data, reporting any issues and supporting in their resolution.
* Take responsibility for maintaining your own safety and that of your colleagues, stopping and reporting any unsafe work.
Qualifications & Skills
* Previous experience as site operator/process or production
* Experience working with pressurised flammable gases, electrical/control systems, or civil/groundworks projects, desirable but not essential
* Strong knowledge of Health & Safety in a live plant environment.
* Counterbalance FLT experience (licence preferred).
* Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and ability to work autonomously.
* Proactive, adaptable, and motivated with a strong safety-first mindset.
* Full driving licence is essential.
Desirable:
* Experience working in a chemical plant environment or high risk setting
* Knowledge of construction site project management.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
