Bradford 2025 is seeking freelance Duty Event Managers to join our database. We are particularly interested in hearing from Bradford/West Yorkshire-based freelance Duty Event and FOH Managers for projects throughout the year, including long-running temporary art exhibitions.
Key Skillset
* Venue, Museum & Gallery, and Site management experience, especially in temporary spaces
* Event front of house, invigilator, visitor experience, or similar experience
* Volunteer management
* Venue liaison
* Contractor management, including security and stewarding
* Knowledge of health and safety measures
* Stakeholder engagement
* Safeguarding understanding
* Box-office experience (preferable)
* Crowd management experience (preferable)
Scope of Work
The projects vary in format, scale, and shift lengths. Responsibilities include:
* Overseeing the safe operation of public events and exhibitions
* Participating in event team briefings
* Cleaning and maintenance of spaces
* Managing contractors, staff, and volunteers
* Engaging with audiences professionally and knowledgeably
* Implementing accessible elements
* Keyholding duties
* Managing health and safety based on risk assessments
* Checking structures and electrical items
* Overseeing installation of site dressing
* Monitoring capacities and managing evacuations
* Completing event reports
* Participating in training
All roles require safeguarding awareness, and pre-employment checks including a DBS certificate may be necessary.
