We are looking for a dedicated and proactive individual to join our Safeguarding team as a Domestic Abuse Practitioner. This vital role plays a key part in ensuring the health needs of victims, children and young people are identified, represented, and shared during multi‑agency discussions. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic, child‑focused team, driving forward safeguarding excellence across Cheshire East.
Responsibilities
* Work as part of the Safeguarding Team as the Specialist for Domestic Abuse and Harmful Practice, ensuring the organisation is compliant with the Domestic Abuse Act 2021.
* Deliver Domestic Abuse and Harmful Practice training to all Trust Staff and Wirral GPs as per the Intercollegiate guidance 2024 and Primary care specification.
* Participate and contribute to the Multi‑agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC), ensuring effective safety planning for any victims of Domestic Abuse.
* Liaise with the 0‑19 practitioners to enable proportionate information sharing of health information within MARAC to safeguard the victim and children and share the safety plan with them.
* Ensure all processes are in place to support all staff within the Trust to manage any Domestic Abuse disclosures and ensure effective safety planning for any victims.
* Support any Trust staff who disclose they are the victim of Domestic Abuse/Harmful Practice, liaising as appropriate with relevant services/agencies.
* Liaise with all Trust services as appropriate and proportionate to safeguard the victim and any child victim.
Requirements
Applicants must provide referees who can verify employment/education history over the last three years and include valid business email addresses. The trust requires all applicants to provide proof of English language ability as mandated by the Immigration Act 2016.
Additional Information
Salary is in line with NHS Terms and Conditions. Part‑time positions receive pro‑rata compensation. Staff on the Trust’s Redeployment Register will receive priority access to vacancies. Flexible working is supported.
