Role Overview
Manage bookkeeping for a varied portfolio of clients
Perform balance sheet reconciliations including bank, VAT, payroll and CIS
Process bills, expenses and supplier payments
Prepare and submit VAT returns
Support the preparation of year-end accounts
Maintain regular communication with clients and respond to financial queries
Assist with mentoring and developing junior team members
The Ideal Candidate
Strong bookkeeping experience gained within an accountancy practice
Confident preparing VAT returns and managing balance sheet reconciliations
Comfortable managing multiple client accounts and deadlines
Experience using cloud accounting software such as Xero, with exposure to Sage or QuickBooks beneficial
High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving
Friendly communicator who enjoys building relationships with clients
