Estimator – Tunbridge Wells, Kent Up to £80,000 Package Permanent Role | Regional Main Contractor Hill McGlynn is proud to be working in partnership with a highly regarded regional main contractor based in Tunbridge Wells, who are looking to appoint an experienced Estimator to join their growing pre-construction team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented and commercially aware professional to play a key role in the successful tendering of new build, refurbishment, and fit-out projects across the South East. The Role: As Estimator, you will take ownership of pricing projects from initial enquiry through to final submission. You will be working closely with the pre-construction and commercial teams to prepare accurate, competitive, and compelling tenders for a variety of sectors including residential, education, commercial, and healthcare. Key Responsibilities: * Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for new build and refurbishment projects * Analyse drawings, specifications, and other documentation to produce accurate costs * Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers for quotations * Work with project and commercial teams to develop value engineering options * Attend pre- and post-tender meetings with clients and consultants * Assist in handover of successful tenders to project delivery teams Ideal Candidate Profile: * Proven experience as an Estimator within a main contracting environment * Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations * Ability to interpret technical drawings and tender documentation * Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and commercial awareness * Effective communication skills with clients, consultants, and internal teams * Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite * Relevant qualification in Construction, Quantity Surveying, or related discipline What’s on Offer: * Competitive salary up to £80,000, based on experience * Comprehensive package * A stable pipeline of varied and interesting projects across the region * Supportive team environment with long-term career progression * Opportunity to contribute directly to business growth and success Apply Today To apply, please submit your up to date CV
