Job Title: Clinical Systems Service Desk Assistant
Location: Barnsley Hospital
Hours: Monday-Friday 37.5 hours per week 08:00 – 16:00 or 09:00 – 17:00

What you'll be responsible for:
The post holder will be responsible for providing 1st line support on the Clinical Applications Service Desk
The role is required to keep an accurate and up-to-date record of all jobs on the Trust's and systems providers service tool.
The post holder will work closely with end users to resolve or escalate system issues and requests by completing system checks, troubleshooting issues and providing advice on the Trust's core clinical systems. The role is required to follow department procedures to ensure issues are escalated to other levels of support when required as well as the ability to work on their own initiative to escalate system incidents.
The post requires a high degree of customer focus by providing verbal, written and face-to-face communication to end users on a daily basis. This includes providing support via drop-ins as well as completing department visits on regular walk rounds.
Other duties include creating and maintaining system user accounts and smartcards, providing administration duties to support existing and new clinical systems and complete ad-hoc tasks to support other members of the team when required in the completion of their role.
You'll learn the following whilst working at the trust:
· An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS.
· Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times.
· A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation.
You'll have the following skills/experience:
* NHS Experience
* Proven ability to meet deadlines
* Previous system service desk assistant experince
* Ability to work in a team
* Excellent communication skills- both verbal and written
* IT skills
* Ability to handle multiple ongoing projects/tasks at once
* Strong personal organisation skill
* Ability to take initiativ
