Following significant investment into the property — including a brand-new £60,000 kitchen installation and extensive renovation throughout — the business is focused on elevating standards, redefining its food identity, and building a strong, motivated brigade.

The Role
As Head Chef, you will take full ownership of the kitchen operation and be responsible for defining and delivering a refreshed, quality-led food offering across the hotel.
You will:
* Lead all aspects of kitchen operations and service
* Design and implement seasonal, locally driven menus
* Recruit, develop, and manage your brigade
* Take full responsibility for GP, cost control, and supplier relationships
* Establish standards, systems, and structure within the new kitchen
* Drive consistency, presentation, and overall food quality
* Work closely with the General Manager to reposition and grow the business
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both culinary creativity and commercial awareness.
About You
* Proven experience as a Head Chef or strong Sous ready to step up
* Background in quality-led hotels, rosette-level, or strong fresh-food environments
* Confident managing GP, margins, and stock control
* Calm, structured leader who builds a positive kitchen culture
* Passionate about seasonal British produce and modern cooking
* Motivated by building standards and leaving your mark
Package
* £45,000–£50,000 base salary (depending on experience)
* Plus tronc
* Live-in accommodation available (circa £60 per week, subject to availability)
