An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Commercial Solicitor to join a well-established and highly regarded London law firm. The firm has built a strong reputation for delivering commercially focused, practical legal advice to businesses and individuals alike, with client service and long-term relationships at the heart of everything it does.
Working as part of an existing Company Commercial team, this role offers a genuine pathway to Partnership and the opportunity to play a key role in the future growth and leadership of the department.
The successful candidate will advise a broad range of owner-managed businesses, SMEs and start-ups, providing commercially focused advice across a variety of corporate and commercial matters. There is also a strong element of business development within the role.
Role Responsibilities
• Advising owner-managed businesses, SMEs and start-ups on a broad range of company commercial matters.
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts and business agreements.
• Advising on company law, corporate governance and shareholder matters.
• Managing corporate transactions including acquisitions, disposals, reorganisations and restructures.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships and becoming a trusted adviser to clients.
• Actively participating in networking, marketing and business development initiatives.
• Identifying opportunities to generate new work and contribute to the continued growth of the department.
• Supporting and mentoring junior team members where appropriate.
Candidate Requirements
• England & Wales qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 5 years' PQE.
• Strong private practice experience within Commercial and/or Corporate law.
• Proven experience advising owner-managed businesses, SMEs and entrepreneurial clients.
• Technical expertise across company law, commercial contracts and corporate transactions.
• Strong commercial awareness and excellent client relationship management skills.
• Demonstrable interest in business development, networking and growing a client base.
• Ambitious and career-focused, with a desire to progress towards Partnership.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, collaborative approach.
