About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and caring Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in Doncaster. This role offers the opportunity to support pupils across the primary age range, helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment where every child can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality lessons
2. Work with small groups and individual pupils to support learning and development
3. Assist in preparing classroom resources and learning activities
4. Encourage pupil participation, confidence, and independence
5. Provide additional support for pupils with varying learning needs
6. Help maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
7. Support behaviour management in line with school policies
About You
We are looking for someone who:
8. Has experience working with children in a school, nursery, or similar setting
9. Is enthusiastic, patient, and committed to supporting young learners
10. Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
11. Works well as part of a team and uses initiative
12. Holds a relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant) or equivalent experience
13. Understands the importance of safeguarding and child protection
