We’re now looking for a Business Development Manager to lead the charge in growing our presence across UK. This is a key leadership role, reporting into the Preconstruction Director, and central to driving sustainable growth aligned to our business strategy. What you’ll do: * Lead proactive business development across the FM sector in line with Skanska’s strategic goals * Build strong, lasting relationships with clients and partners across different sectors * Identify and qualify high-quality work opportunities – including frameworks, tenders, and negotiated contracts * Work closely with Preconstruction, Operations, and Senior Leadership to shape compelling customer propositions * Own and deliver detailed Customer Engagement Plans (CEPs) for your target geography/sector * Maintain and develop our CRM system to ensure effective reporting and pipeline visibility * Represent Skanska at key industry events and networking opportunities * Mentor and support talent within the business development and preconstruction teams What success looks like: * Increased visibility and recognition of Skanska FM in the market * Sustainable, predictable and profitable growth in FM opportunities * Improved client retention and cross-selling of new services to existing accounts * Tangible improvement in Net Promoter Score (NPS) and client satisfaction What you’ll bring: * Proven experience in Facilities Management or built environment business development * Strategic mindset with the ability to spot opportunities, shape offers and influence senior stakeholders * Has thorough knowledge of business development and creating negotiated framework and bid opportunities * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – able to build trust and credibility quickly * Self-starter who thrives in a collaborative, cross-functional team * Experience of the Higher Education sector is desirable * Knowledge of the construction/FM landscape particularly across London and the South UK a plus Ready to help us build what matters?
