Practical Trainers – Mechanical & Electrical
Location: Coventry (with some UK travel as required)

Salary: £38,000–£42,000 (depending on experience)
Overview:
We're looking for practical trainers with an electrical/mechatronics/mechanical background to deliver hands-on training to apprentices and early-career engineers at our Coventry training centre.
This is a fantastic opportunity for engineers with a background in automation, field service, or industrial maintenance who want to transition into a rewarding role in training and education. You'll get to apply your technical knowledge in a workshop setting while mentoring the next generation of engineers.
As with our theory trainer roles, no previous teaching experience is needed. If you are a time-served engineer with a solid foundation in mechatronics/electrical systems and a strong desire to learn, we will provide the full training and support you need to succeed as a trainer.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver hands-on practical training in mechatronics with an electrical bias.
* Guide learners in applying theoretical knowledge to real-world equipment and scenarios.
* Mentor and support apprentices, helping them develop their technical confidence and competence.
* Deliver safe, structured, and engaging workshop sessions.
* Occasionally travel to other UK sites for short training blocks.
Ideal Candidate:
* Time-served Electrical or Mechatronics Engineer.
* Hold a Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Engineering.
* Solid practical experience from industries such as field service, automation, or industrial maintenance.
* Confident communicator with the ability to explain complex systems clearly.
* Supportive mentor who enjoys guiding and coaching others.
* Desire to grow into a people-focused training role with full support provided.
