About the Role
Are you passionate about supporting children during lunchtime and ensuring they have a safe, enjoyable, and positive experience at school? Our agency are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Redbridge, London that is seeking a dedicated and caring Midday Meal Supervisor to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to pupils’ wellbeing and create a nurturing school environment where every child feels supported.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise children during lunch breaks, both in the dining hall and playground
* Promote positive behaviour and ensure a safe, respectful environment
* Encourage healthy eating habits and good table manners
* Support children in resolving minor conflicts and maintaining positive relationships
* Assist in organising and supervising play activities, ensuring all pupils are included
* Monitor pupils’ wellbeing and report any concerns to the appropriate staff
* Ensure school policies and safeguarding procedures are followed at all times
What We’re Looking For
* Understanding of positive behaviour support strategies
* Previous experience working with children is desirable but not essential
* A calm, friendly, and proactive approach to supervising pupils
* Ability to promote inclusion and support children of all ages and backgrounds
* Good communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
* Reliability, patience, and a genuine interest in supporting children’s wellbeing
