We have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join our high-performing Bids Team at RS as a Bid Manager. This role offers great growth and development opportunities and is ideal for a collaborative and innovative individual with a proven track record in bid/proposal writing and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the end-to-end bid process, including coordinating internal stakeholders, writing proposals, and ensuring compliance with procurement regulations.
* Develop and maintain bid/no-bid criteria specific to industry opportunities.
* Create high-quality, compliant tender responses aligned with evaluation criteria and frameworks.
* Lead or support sales and bid teams through complex tender processes, including PQQs and ITTs.
* Conduct post-bid analysis and manage feedback to improve future submissions.
* Utilise Salesforce and Microsoft Teams for tender management and collaboration.
* Support handover to Contract Implementation post-winning bids, ensuring comprehensive understanding of deals.
Success Criteria
* Experience managing bids in regulated industries such as Rail, Health, or Construction.
* Knowledge of procurement regulations and evaluation methodologies.
* Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple bids.
* Attention to detail and ability to interpret complex documents.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with e-procurement platforms.
* Excellent time management skills, capable of working under pressure.
* Experience managing large bids (>£1M).
