Your Role We’re looking for a Management Accountant to maintain the day-to-day record keeping and purchase ledger for the Farm, to prepare month end management accounts for review by the Head of Finance. This role is essential to ensuring the accuracy of our financial records and enabling the business to Grow. Location : This role will be based on site at our production facility in Sandwich. You’ll work closely with t he Head of Finance and other key players across the business. As part of this role, you’ll be expected to stand tall —delivering results with integrity and accountability. Who you’ll be working with You’ll be part of the Finance & People team, working alongside the Senior Leadership team, commercial and operations teams. What you’ll be doing Liaising with suppliers Processing purchase invoices and matching to purchase orders Assisting with supplier onboarding Processing company card spend Reconciling bank accounts Processing and posting sales invoices and liaising with sales team Credit control Compiling bi-monthly payment runs for review Maintaining the fixed asset register Drafting monthly payroll for review Drafting monthly management accounts Assisting with year-end financial statements and audit Assisting with setting up and implementing financial controls and ensure adherence to. Must have skills: Financial Analysis & Interpretation - Ability to analyse financial statements and management accounts to support strategic and operational decisions. Cost Accounting - Understanding of cost behaviours, costing methods and cost control to improve efficiency and profitability. Management Reporting - Ability to prepare clear, relevant, and timely internal reports for managers, focusing on KPIs, trends, and actionable insights Business Acumen - Strong understanding of how the organisation operates, its industry, market conditions, and competitive environment. Communication Skills - Ability to explain complex financial information clearly to non-finance managers through reports, presentations, and discussions. Ethical Judgment & Professional Integrity - Commitment to ethical standards, confidentiality, and professional behaviour Nice to have skills: Problem-Solving Skills - Ability to identify financial and operational problems, analyse root causes, and recommend practical solutions. Knowledge of Taxation - Working knowledge of corporate tax, VAT, Payroll and Plastic Packaging Tax to support compliance and decision-making. Industry-Specific Knowledge - Familiarity with the regulations, cost structures, and performance drivers of agricultural produce business. System Experience – Experience in using Xero, Dext, ApprovalMax and Prophet What success looks like in this role 3 months in –You’ve rooted yourself in our business, built strong relationships, and contributed to ongoing projects. 6 months in –You’ve taken ownership of key initiatives and started seeing the fruits of your labour. 12 months in –You’ve driven measurable impact, helping shape future strategies and making the business bloom.
