Senior Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Ower, nr. Totton (access from Southampton, Bournemouth, Winchester, Salisbury)
< £50,000 per year, depending on experience
45 hours per week on a 2-week rota (with ‘on-call’ every other week)
Week 1: Monday – Friday, 06:00 – 15:30
Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday, 06:00 – 15:30
About the Role

In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth and reliable operation of machinery, with a strong focus on electrical systems, control panels, automation, and reactive fault diagnosis.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee planning and execution of PPM schedules and reactive repairs
* Take ownership of electrical fault finding, diagnostics and system improvements
* Drive engineering best practices and continuous improvement initiatives
* Improve equipment reliability and eliminate recurring electrical faults
* Lead, manage and mentor a small team of Engineers
* Participate in the on-call rota (week-on/week-off, Friday to Friday)
* Support and manage external contractors for servicing and maintenance
Requirements
* Strong electrical engineering background with hands-on fault-finding experience
* Completed an Engineering Apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering
* Strong communication skills with the ability to create a positive and high-performing team culture
* Previous experience leading or supervising an engineering team
* Experience within food manufacturing, agriculture, FMCG, or a similar industrial environment (desirable)
