We’re looking for an experienced and caring Mental Health Recovery Worker to join our dedicated team at Albany House – a CQC Registered home supporting people with severe and enduring mental health challenges. About Albany House Albany House is a small, CQC‑registered service that supports up to eight people living with severe and enduring mental illness. We provide a warm, recovery‑focused environment where individuals can build confidence, develop daily living skills, manage their finances, and work towards goals like education, training or employment. Our aim is simple: to help each person move forward at their own pace and live a more independent, fulfilling life. What will you do? In this role, I will support individuals on their recovery journey, helping them build skills, confidence and independence. My work will include: Providing one‑to‑one key‑worker support and building positive, professional relationships Carrying out assessments and developing personalised support and safety plans Encouraging people to manage their mental and physical wellbeing Supporting individuals with daily living skills and accessing community services Liaising with mental health agencies, professionals and community groups Contributing to safeguarding and promoting a safe, supportive environment Keeping accurate records, monitoring progress and sharing information with the team Helping improve the service by offering feedback and supporting colleagues What we’re looking for: Experience supporting people with mental illness or in a social care setting (paid or voluntary) Great listening skills, empathy, patience, and kindness Ability to work with digital systems (Microsoft applications, email, internet) A commitment to our values and willingness to learn If you have transferable skills and a passion for helping others, we’d love to hear from you!
