We are looking for a Graduate Electrical Engineer to join our progressive, award-winning Mechanical & Electrical Engineering team in our Leeds office as part of our 2026 Graduate Programme. You will help deliver sustainable projects for our communities, planet, and society within an exciting and creative interdisciplinary environment. You will collaborate closely with your team and wider cohort, benefiting from strong support from office and technical colleagues and guidance from senior staff in our open and collaborative culture.

Our team specialises in building services, energy, and sustainability. We get involved early, work collaboratively with design teams, and use our expertise to help clients make key decisions—an approach that consistently delivers buildings that perform. Examples of our work include projects such as Rudding Park - MEP and Sustainability Services, and you can explore career stories from Stantec graduates.


What You Will Do

* Work on live projects from the start across a variety of sectors, including healthcare and education.
* Undertake electrical services design and calculations using the latest modelling software (e.g., Dialux, Relux, Electrical OM).
* Collaborate with supervisors on scheme design concepts.
* Use Revit and 3D BIM modelling software for design production.
* Coordinate designs with other professional disciplines.
* Produce detailed designs and drawings.
* Contribute to and develop energy and sustainability strategies.
* Participate in design team and client meetings.
* Undertake site visits and surveys.
* Research and implement new technologies.
* Engage in continuous professional development (CPD) and learning opportunities.
* Typical tasks include designing and creating electrical circuits, wiring, and lighting.


About You

Qualifications

* Degree and/or master’s qualification in a relevant Electrical Engineering subject.
* Keen interest in the building services, energy, and sustainability industry.
* Familiarity with tools such as Dialux, Relux, Electrical OM, Revit, and BIM is beneficial.

Working Arrangements

We ask our graduates to come into the office a minimum of 4 days per week to ensure an appropriate level of support and development.
