This is a rare opportunity to work for a rapidly expanding business in a newly created role as a Site Engineering Manager. This position would be well suited to a multiskilled engineering leader who has experience of managing small teams, engineering budgets, capex projects, continuous improvement and PPM scheduling. Roles and Responsibilities:
8. Accountable for all activities within the engineering function.
9. Zero tolerance approach to safety standards, ensuring that all are working safely.
10. Maximise and constantly improve equipment performance.
11. Ensure that the engineering planning process is managed robustly, ensuring high levels of compliance.
12. Contribute to identification and delivery of improvement projects.
13. Manage engineering budget and look for opportunities to create value.
14. Manage inventory levels through engineering team.
15. Develop and execute plan to protect site from equipment obsolescence.
16. Manage site capital programme.
17. Identify areas of weakness and establish strategy to upskill team to improve resilience.
Requirements
18. Electrical and/or mechanical qualifications / time served apprenticeship
19. Experience of operating in a medium/large automated manufacturing operation with relevant safety systems, quality standards, housekeeping standards etc.
20. Experience of leading a team
21. Experience of leading and delivering change desirable.
22. Experience of budget control.
23. Experience of managing capital programme desirable.
24. Experience of computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS) and stock control systems.
