About the Team

The Treasury Business Solutions (TBS) team are trusted business partners responsible for Technology, Security, Estates and Knowledge & Information Management. We have staff based in each of our London, Norwich and Darlington offices.

The IT service team of 15 people are responsible for managing and delivering IT services to support operations and meet the needs of over 3,500 users in Treasury and our Arm’s length bodies. The team manages our Oracle ERP Cloud system, our ITSM system, our correspondence system and our Enterprise IT Service.

About the Job

We are seeking an experienced IT service management professional. The Head of IT Service plays a significant role in ensuring that IT services are delivered efficiently, effectively, and in alignment with the overall business strategy. This role offers an outstanding opportunity to lead a dynamic team in an ambitious and encouraging environment.

In this role, you will:

1. Ensure that IT services are aligned with HMT’s strategic objectives, government policies and professional standards. This includes designing and implementing IT service strategies that support the department's mission and objectives.
