Job Description:

Head of Finance - Strategic Projects and Growth

This newly built role is a rare and exciting opportunity to craft the future of our UKI business by bringing together strategy, customer experience, and regulatory oversight into one high-impact leadership position.

As Head of Finance – Strategic Projects and Growth, you will play a pivotal role in partnering with senior leaders to define, plan, and implement key pivotal initiatives that unlock long-term value. From driving “big bet” growth projects to crafting customer safety and regulatory frameworks, this role sits at the heart of our transformation journey.

With a remit across both Sportsbook (including Trading) and Gaming product verticals, and responsibility for Customer Safety and Regulatory initiatives, this is a broad and influential position suited to a commercially astute finance leader.

This role will report into UKI Finance Director – Operations.

What you will do

1. Partner with senior leaders including the UKI Leadership Team to craft the strategic direction of the UKI business and ensure effective mobilisation of resources to deliver against it.
2. Lead the end-to-end financial strategy, planning, and execution of “big bet” strategic projects that drive value creation and business transformation.
3. Evaluate and optimise the various financial impacts of strategic levels impacting customer experience including for example pricing and generosity.
4. Take ownership of all financial aspects of Customer Safety and Regulatory initiatives across the UKI business.
5. Monitor industry and regulatory developments, translating complex changes into clear financial implications and actionable insights.
6. Deliver competitor and market intelligence to inform strategy, growth opportunities, and commercial decision-making.
7. Lead and grow a high-performing team (4+ direct reports), while providing broader financial leadership across the division.
8. Collaborate closely with BI, wider finance teams, and Flutter Group teams to share insights, improve reporting, and align strategic priorities.

How you’ll do it

9. Act as a reliable strategic collaborator for senior leadership—making clear decisions and committed to accomplishing specific objectives.
10. Demonstrate strong financial and analytical capabilities, with the ability to quickly interpret complex data to guide business decisions.
11. Bring sharp commercial judgment and business partnering experience, with the ability to articulate financial performance in a clear, compelling manner.
12. Excel with senior leaders by influencing, and collaborating within a highly matrixed, cross-functional environment.
13. Cultivate and develop talent, creating a team culture that is agile, high-performing, and future-focused.
