Contek Recruitment are currently working with a precision engineering client, based in Ware, Herts. They are currently going through a growth periodand are now looking for a Workshop Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis. Our client specialise in the manufacture and supply for specialist manufacturing sectors. Working Hours: Mon-Fri 8:00-4:30pm Duties and Responsibilities: Helping out around the workshop, assisting machinists with anything that they need. Basic assembly of metal components. Deburring and polishing of metal parts. Emptying swarf containers. Keeping the workshop in a clean and tidy state. Driving including delivery/collections of items (within a 3hr round trip of Luton). Requirements: Previous experience working within an Engineering or Manufacturing environment is preferred. Previous experience working with metal parts is preferred. Ability to commute to Ware. Hold a valid driving licence.
