Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Group Management Accountant to join their finance team in Salford. This is a hands-on role where the successful candidate will take ownership of key financial processes within their group structure, reporting directly to the CFO. As a service-led business, they are particularly interested in candidates with experience in service industry environments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and review monthly management accounts for multiple group entities
* Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes
* Oversee consolidation of group financial statements
* Deliver insightful financial analysis and commentary to support business decisions
* Maintain robust financial controls across the group
* Support the annual audit process
* Contribute to financial planning and forecasting activities
Requirements:
* Excellent proficiency with Sage Line 50
* Strong technical accounting knowledge
* Hands-on approach and ability to work in a small, dynamic team
* Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
* Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders
Desirable Qualifications
* Chartered accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
* Experience in preparing statutory accounts
* Knowledge of tax compliance requirements
