From September 2026, we are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher to join our team to teach A Level Computer Science and I.T. (Applied General). We welcome applications from both newly qualified teachers and experienced practitioners. We are looking for someone with creativity, strong subject knowledge, and the ability to inspire students through engaging teaching of Computing and IT. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, committed to supporting students to achieve their full potential. Student numbers in Computing and I.T. are strong, and we are keen to expand our curriculum with the introduction of new courses. Outcomes are consistently excellent and remain well above the national average, including for re-sit students. The successful applicant will join an experienced, dynamic, and supportive team of teachers. Computing and I.T. sits within the Global Systems Department, alongside Business Studies, Economics, Geography and Geology. The department is made up of highly skilled and collaborative teachers who are committed to providing the very best support for students. There is a strong focus on sharing effective teaching strategies and developing innovative approaches to meet the diverse needs and abilities of learners. Grade & Salary Range: The successful candidate will be appointed to the national pay scales for Teachers in Sixth Form Colleges, within the range £33,465 - £51,714 depending on experience.
Main Terms & Conditions: The contract will either be on a permanent basis, either full, or part time, commencing 1st September 2026. You will be required, as part of the terms of your appointment, to attain an appropriate teaching qualification in a specified timescale, if you are not already appropriately qualified. You will be eligible to join the Teachers' Pension Scheme. Salary payments are made monthly by credit transfer in arrears on the last business bank day of the month.
