I am working with my Corby-based client who is looking to add a skilled worker to their team, within their print environment.
The job is that of a Lamination Process Technician and this will be working in a factory environment where you will be setting and operating the laminator machines and running to the highest quality to ensure effective output to achieve production targets.
The main responsibilities of this role are outlined below:
* Set and operate the laminator and achieve output targets
* Ensure quality control is maintained and carry out technical
* Verify, control and adjust machine settings as required
* To run the shift by planning the work to maximise efficiency and productivity
* Check shift targets are being met.
* Label, wrap and strap pallets ensuring labelling is clear as per the specified sheet.
* Ensure all production sheets are filled out correctly and accurately.
* Monitor and conduct quality checks
* Ensure samples are taken and all QC paperwork is filled out correctly.
* Check and achieve daily production targets set by management.
* Must follow and comply with all company, Health & Safety, HR and factory policies and procedures.
* Attend any training provided to you whether individually or collectively.
* To carry out any other reasonable requests.
* Ensure production is maximised and cost effective,
* Maintain stock levels for jobs for current and following shift
* To be proactive in organising own workload and having a self-motivated attitude towards departmental workload.
* Train all staff to maximise department knowledge, capability and productivity.
* As Responsible Person oversee the general standard and staff within the factory ensuring Health & Safety and BRCGS rules are being adhered to at all times and report any non-conformance.
* To act as a First Aider and Fire Marshall.
* Ensuring the lamination area is tidy and kept in a professional manner following the highest BRCGS standards.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills / knowledge:
* Comprehensive knowledge of the lamination process ideally within a blown film extrusion/ flexographic printing business.
* Production experience with the capability of operating high-speed modern machinery.
* Excellent technical skills.
* Basic IT skills.
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment.
* Set up and run the machine.
* Management skills (coaching, mentoring, firm etc).
