About the role
We’re looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. In this role, you will work in a fast-paced retail environment where no day is the same. Your responsibilities include providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments, and helping maintain the store’s appearance.
You will play an important role in the daily operations, ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for customers and staff, and continuously seeking ways to improve service through on-the-job coaching and feedback.
You will be Responsible For:
* Serving customers with passion and pride, delivering great natural service.
* Encouraging customer feedback via surveys.
* Working across all store areas, including online, tills, replenishment, vending, and stock routines.
* Practicing safety procedures learned during training.
* Participating in seasonal, community, and charity events to foster an inclusive atmosphere.
* Understanding store performance and contributing to profit delivery.
* Living our values, making everyone feel welcome, and following policies.
* Clocking in and out accurately for proper pay.
* Following security procedures and wearing safety equipment.
* Following the 'think 25' policy when serving age-restricted products.
* Responding promptly to assistance calls or interventions at self-service checkouts.
* Maintaining a clean, organized, and unobstructed store environment.
* Potentially managing shifts in the absence of the Shift Leader or Store Manager.
* Following all training to ensure safety and compliance.
If the store has a Post Office Local, duties include managing daily operations and passing necessary background checks. Failure to pass these checks will result in withdrawal of the job offer.
