Purpose of the role
Learn, assist, and complete installations, exchanges, maintenance and removal of gas and electricity meters in customers’ homes and businesses as per company requirements.
Salary and progression
* Training salary of £32,000
* Increasing to £35,000 after passing MOCoPA
* Basic salary £39,140 after reaching core KPIs
General Duties / Key Responsibilities
* Undertake training in a college setting and train alongside a qualified Dual Fuel Engineer on site in all aspects of gas, electric and renewable energy work
* Carry out work following instructions to the required standard and quality at various dwellings, corporate buildings and construction projects
* Demonstrate and promote a high standard of customer service, keeping clients informed and fully demonstrating the meter after completion
* Ensure full compliance with all safety procedures and relevant statutory legislation
* Report H&S issues in line with the company policy
* Complete all required documentation accurately, regularly and to specified deadlines
* Take accountability for the vehicle and tools/equipment in your possession, including regular stock checks and ensuring the company van is roadworthy
* Attend all training and toolbox talks as required
* Attend college for appropriate off-site training to obtain the qualification
Qualifications and Key Skills
* An interest in the gas metering, electric metering and renewable energy industry
* Current CCN1/CMA1 qualification
* MET1 qualification (referred to but not essential)
* Commitment towards continual personal professional development
* Full UK driving license
