we are on the lookout for a Technical Assistant to join our team.
About the Role
Reporting into the Contract Manager, the successful Technical Assistant will be working from our Knowsley Highways office. You will be someone who can demonstrate strong communication skills and a willingness to learn. Having a Highways Maintenance background would be beneficial for this role, but is by no means essential.
What you'll be doing
In this role, you as the successful Technical Assistant will be carrying out the following duties and responsibilities (not exhaustive)
1. Logging customer enquiries via telephone directly from residents
2. Handling claims for road traffic accidents, out of hours call outs and damage to street furniture
3. Logging claims and assigning to the correct officer to carry out inspection, photographs and DIF forms
4. Logging and dealing with stage 1 complaints; investigating the complaints using our Confirm system to provide/prepare a response for team leaders
5. Providing vehicular crossing quotes for residents and logging request to confirm

6. A knowledge of Highways Maintenance

Furthermore, if you have knowledge of Section 58 Highway Inspections, this would be beneficial in your application.
