Contract IT Service Desk Engineer

Location: Fully remote working, Basingstoke office if hybrid working is preferred
Our client is seeking Contract IT Support Engineer to support a Microsoft-focused MSP delivering primarily BAU support and assist with cloud project work. Youll provide day-to-day IT support while contributing to Microsoft 365 migrations and modern workplace deployments. Working in a small team, youll take ownership of tickets, ensuring timely resolution and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
* 1st/2nd line support via phone and email
* Manage tickets in line with SLAs
* Support Microsoft 365 environments
* Maintain backups, monitoring, and endpoint security
* Assist with onboarding and basic infrastructure upgrades
Key Skills
* 3+ years IT support experience (MSP preferred)
* Strong Microsoft 365 admin experience
* Windows server admin
* Windows 10/11
* Knowledge of SharePoint/Intune
* Basic networking knowledge (DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP, VPN, Firewalls)
Desirable: Any experience in the following Azure, Hyper-V, macOS.
