What skills and experience we're looking for

In this role, you will:

* Lead the development and implementation of an ambitious trust‑wide primary core curriculum strategy.
* Ensure the curriculum is inclusive, well‑sequenced, and meets the needs of all learners.
* Establish a trust‑wide pedagogical framework underpinned by evidence.
* Lead high‑quality CPD for teachers and subject leaders.
* Build strong professional relationships with academy leaders.
* Lead the improvement of teaching and learning across the Trust.
* Stay abreast of research developments and share innovative approaches.
* Prepare reports for Trust Board and committees.
* Act as line manager and Academy Improvement Lead for designated academies.
* Promote safeguarding, EDI, and professional curiosity across the Trust.


What the school offers its staff

The University of Chichester Academy Trust (‘the Trust’) now has 17 academies, 2 Inclusion Centres, and a School-Centred Initial Teacher Training base in its education family across Hampshire, Portsmouth, and West Sussex.

While each academy has its own unique identity, we are united by a shared vision, strong values, and an unwavering commitment to inclusive, pupil‑centred learning.

Our Central Team consists of experienced professionals who work collaboratively with academies to drive improvement, strengthen practice, and secure high‑quality outcomes for all children. We are now seeking an exceptional and experienced education leader to take on the newly developed role of Trust Curriculum & Pedagogy Lead.

This pivotal role combines trust‑wide strategic leadership with meaningful, hands‑on impact in individual academies. You will be responsible for securing excellence in curriculum and teaching across the Trust from ages 2–16, ensuring that every pupil receives high‑quality, inclusive, evidence‑informed learning.
