School Business Manager
St James School | Permanent | Part-time (15 hours per week, actual working pattern of hours can be flexible be arranged for term time only)
St James is delighted to be seeking a School Business Manager to join our friendly, supportive, and child‑focused school community.
This is a permanent role, working 15 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. The working days and pattern will be agreed with the successful candidate and can include a flexible blend of onsite and remote working.
About the Role
As our School Business Manager, you will play a key strategic and operational role in the life of the school, leading on finance and HR matters and supporting the smooth day‑to‑day running of the school.
You’ll be working alongside our highly experienced and capable administration team, who provide excellent support with operational tasks, allowing you to focus on the strategic elements of the role.
The successful candidate will;
Have experience working at a strategic level in a business or finance environment
Have strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
Be confident using IT systems, including Microsoft applications and management information systems
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Build positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
Is professional, adaptable, and approachable
Experience in a school setting and/or a relevant accounting or School Business Manager qualification would be welcomed but is not essential.
