As a Medical Receptionist Virtual Assistant, you will be responsible for providing top-notch administrative support to medical practices, ensuring seamless coordination of patient appointments and inquiries.
Responsibilities:
* Serve as the first point of contact for patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals via phone, email, and online chat.
* Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in appointment booking.
* Manage patient registration process, including verifying insurance information and updating patient records in electronic medical records (EMRs) or practice management software.
* Respond promptly and professionally to patient inquiries and requests for information.
* Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure timely and accurate communication of patient information and scheduling changes.
* Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA guidelines at all times.
* Assist with administrative tasks such as billing inquiries, insurance claims processing, and medical records management.
* Collaborate with other members of the virtual assistance team to provide comprehensive support to medical practices.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or similar role in a healthcare setting.
* Excellent customer service skills in handling inbound and outbound calls.
* Experienced in Insurance verification and prior authorization
* Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMRs) or practice management software.
* Knowledgeable in claims processing and payment posting.
