* Job Title: Landlord Liaison Officer
* Location: Luton, floating support service based within the office and around different locations within the community
* Salary: £26,200
* Shift Pattern: 12-month fixed term contract, 37.5 hours/week, Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00. Flexibility outside these hours may be required.
About The Role
This is an exciting new role within a brand new contract to support the referral process from the Housing Solutions teams. The service provides floating and wraparound support to single applicants at risk of homelessness who can live independently, by developing housing support plans to resolve housing needs and support into long-term, stable housing.
You will act as a bridge between homeless individuals seeking accommodation and landlords in the private rented sector. Your responsibilities include identifying housing opportunities, building and maintaining positive relationships with landlords, and facilitating communication to address concerns and promote solutions. You will be the main contact for landlords, providing information and resources regarding tenant management and the rental process to foster a supportive environment.
About You
Ideal candidates will have a passion for ending homelessness and supporting those in need to secure stable accommodation. You should thrive in a person-centred environment, demonstrating compassion and a non-judgmental attitude, understanding diverse life experiences, and providing that extra support to help individuals regain stability. We seek someone with a genuine purpose to help people, challenge stigma, and make a meaningful difference.
* Experience working with homelessness or housing support needs, or a good understanding of the sector
* Understanding of the housing and social needs of people with complex needs
* Knowledge of the private rental market, with ability to research and build relationships with landlords
* Influencing and negotiation skills for positive outcomes
* Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and oral
* Proactive decision-making ability
* Experience in supported housing management
* Intermediate IT skills, including Microsoft Office and other software
* Flexibility to respond to service and resident needs
