Overview of Role Location: Allied Bakeries Stoke (Newcastle-under-Lyme) Hours: 4 on 4 off, 2 days 2 nights (12 hour shifts) Salary: £51,349.74 rising to £52,886.22 in September 2025 Join Our Team! We have an excellent career opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Stoke on a fixed term basis, initially for 6 months with a view to the role being made permanent. The role of a Maintenance Engineer is a varied and challenging one. You will be expected to identify and deliver continuous improvement initiatives alongside proactive and reactive maintenance and repairs to the plant and site services associated with a major bakery. What You'll Be Doing Focusing on safe working practices and site performance KPI’s including OEE and CCOs.Diagnosing and correcting automation, electrical and mechanical issues to resolve breakdown situations. Ensuring our engineering strategy is delivered consistently. Delivering turn-key improvement projects in a timely and cost-efficient manner. Driving the performance of the Engineering function forward.
