Overview
Our vision and strategy are to “Transform patient care, safety and outcomes through digital technology and transformation to enhance ways of working”. You will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and improving a range of clinical systems used across the Organisation. This includes working closely with healthcare professionals to understand their requirements and optimising systems to meet clinical workflows to ensure these systems are reliable and compliant with patient safety standards. The position involves travel across North Wales to provide support to all BCUHB sites.
We’re looking for an enthusiastic, proactive professional with experience in supporting clinical applications in a healthcare setting who can work under pressure, communicate effectively, and collaborate with teams to ensure changes to clinical systems are understood and support safe, efficient patient care.
Main duties of the job
You will bring experience of providing ICT support within a healthcare or similarly regulated environment, ideally within a large or complex organisation. You will be confident in supporting and maintaining clinical systems, diagnostic reporting systems, and other NHS digital applications. A good understanding of operating systems, networking principles, and information governance requirements in a healthcare context is essential.
Experience of using an ITSM to log, track, and resolve incidents is required, along with the ability to work to ITIL-based processes. Knowledge of NHS data standards, clinical workflows, and the integration of systems across different care settings would be an advantage – though full training on local systems will be provided.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
