Pay and Hours
Our Pharmacy Dispenser rate of pay starts from £13.70 an hour; this increases to £14.97 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week to new colleagues, with opportunities to work as few as 12 hours per week.
Availability
* Monday: 09:30 – 16:00
* Wednesday: 14:00 – 20:00
* Thursday: 14:00 – 20:00
We schedule contracted hours within these windows and provide three‑week notice of scheduled shifts. We also support flexibility if your availability aligns closely with our advertised windows.
About the Role
Customers are at the heart of everything we do. In a fast‑paced environment, you will support dispensing medicines, providing vaccinations, reviewing medication use, and checking blood pressure or glucose levels. You will work alongside experienced pharmacists and managers, receiving local management and leadership support.
Responsibilities
* Support the operation of one of our modern pharmacies.
* Accurately dispense medication, ensuring attention to detail and accuracy at all times.
* Communicate with customers, offering information confidently and professionally.
* Provide appropriate information on common ailments, symptoms and products.
* Understand customers’ needs and explain product benefits, selling only appropriate products.
* Advise customers on the range of pharmacy services available.
* Deliver pharmacy services and the dispensing process according to standard operating procedures.
* Assess the legal appropriateness of dispensed prescriptions.
* Handle clinical and legal queries from healthcare practitioners within your competence.
* Respond to customer queries regarding prescription medicines and inform the pharmacist of complaints.
* Ensure all dispensary routines and standard operating procedures are followed.
* Maintain clean, tidy, and clutter‑free dispensary and consulting rooms.
* Ensure accurate and timely completion of prescription administration.
* Promote company initiatives within the team.
* Carry out procedures accurately to protect profit and operate safely and legally.
* Complete corporate and departmental training.
* Keep up to date with legal and professional developments in pharmacy.
Qualifications
* Qualifications gained from working in a pharmacy environment.
* A desire to train and develop into the pharmacy field.

We recruit individuals who have passed the school leaver’s age. Candidates must be over 18 if the role requires working before 6:15 am or after 9:45 pm or involves work in areas such as the warehouse, beverages, bakery, or driving roles.
