Job Description
Key Responsibilities
3. Dashboarding, Reporting & Automation
4. Design, build and maintain BCHG's suite of dashboards, performance packs and automated reporting products using Power BI and aligned tools.
5. Develop high quality KPI dashboards for Board, Executive, SLT and service teams.
6. Ensure reporting is consistent, governed and aligned with BCHG's KPI Catalogue.
7. Work with the Data Governance Manager to apply standards, definitions and quality controls to reporting and dashboards.
8. Monitor reporting SLAs, refresh schedules and usage analytics to optimise adoption.
9. Extract, gather, manipulate and interrogate data from multiple sources and present it in a clear, usable format to inform decision‑making across the organisation.
10. Data Modelling & Insight Production
11. Analyse trends, patterns and performance drivers across multiple data sets, including but not limited to arrears, repairs, voids, complaints, satisfaction, compliance, assets, HR and financial indicators.
12. Build analytical models to explore relationships, hotspots and opportunities for improvement.
13. Develop scenario‑planning tools (e.g., void turnaround, EPC uplift, service demand forecasting).
14. Prepare, cleanse and structure data from multiple sources to create reliable, reusable analytical datasets.
15. Benchmarking & Comparative Insight
16. Produce benchmarking dashboards reports comparing BCHG to peer providers and national datasets.
17. Identify performance variations and develop insight‑led recommendations.
18. Work with the Data Governance Manager to advise SLT and Heads of Service on improvement opportunities.
19. Advanced Insights & Added Value Analysis
20. Configure thresholds, alerts and data‑driven notifications within dashboards.
21. Conduct deep‑dive analysis on emerging issues, service risks or strategic questions.
22. Support the creation of predictive, scenario‑based and AI‑enabled analytical outputs as the organisation's data maturity develops.
23. ROI, Social Value & ESG Support
24. Produce financial and non‑financial benefit analysis for strategic or operational programmes.
25. Support the development of BCHG's ESG reporting, including environmental, social and governance metrics.
26. Stakeholder Engagement & Support
27. Work collaboratively with service areas to understand analytical needs.
28. Present findings in workshops, meetings and training settings.
29. Build organisational confidence in reading and interpreting data.
30. Operate with a high degree of professional judgement, influencing how data and insight is used across the organisation.
The Successful Applicant
Skills & ExperienceEssential
31. Strong Power BI skills including data modelling, DAX and visual design.
32. Advanced Excel capability (modelling, Power Query).
33. Experience producing dashboards, insight reports and analytics.
34. Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable messages.
35. Ability to communicate effectively with Board and Executive committee members and produce high quality reports for various internal departments and external / 3rd party bodies
36. Awareness of data protection, data ethics and assurance considerations when handling sensitive operational and customer data.
37. Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Desirable
38. Experience querying and shaping data using SQL or similar tools to support robust analytical models. Knowledge of housing or other regulated‑sector performance areas.
39. Experience with forecasting, benchmarking or scenario‑planning techniques.
