We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Welder to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and maintaining high safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Weld high-quality components, including setting up and operating a range of tooling and machinery (e.g., TIG, MIG welders, punches, and associated equipment)
* Prepare, clean, cut, burn, and weld components in line with specifications
* Set up, measure, and assemble parts, selecting the appropriate welding methods
* Accurately read and interpret welding drawings and technical specifications
* Complete work documentation and maintain accurate production records
* Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to Health & Safety procedures and legal regulations
* Ensure equipment is used correctly by following operating instructions
* Troubleshoot breakdowns and carry out preventative maintenance where required
* Meet quality targets and consistently maintain high workmanship standards
Qualifications & Experience:
* Minimum Level 2 NVQ, Indentured Apprenticeship, or equivalent qualification
* Previous experience in a similar welding role
* Recognised welding qualification desirable
* Strong numeracy skills
* Essential: Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Ability to work independently and use initiative
* Must have their own mask and safety boots
