You can earn up to £12.51 per hour as a Care Assistant. We’re excited to grow our team of care professionals further and would love to welcome you.
Reports to: Senior Care team, Team Leader, Manager and Deputy Manager
Rochcare is a family-run business providing quality residential care homes and support services to older people and those living with dementia.
As a Care Assistant, you should be able to multitask, prioritise workloads and remain calm under pressure. The primary goal of the role is to provide exceptional care to the ladies and gentlemen we support while understanding their individual needs and building empowering relationships with them.
Principle Roles and Responsibilities
* Review and work in accordance with individual care plans and provide personal care in line with them, enhancing their physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.
* Interact with the friends and family of people living with us where appropriate, including attending review meetings. Meet and greet other visitors to the home and represent Rochcare professionally.
* Show a desire and passion to help make a difference to the lives of others and work effectively as part of a team who believe in respecting every person as a unique individual, treating them with the dignity you would wish for yourself.
* Demonstrate an ability to build and maintain relationships with people whose understanding is impaired and their families through good communication skills.
* Complete all necessary records and routines accurately and maintain a clean and safe working environment for everyone living and working at the home.
The ideal candidate should be ready to assist and look after the physical and personal needs of the older people living in our care home. We’re looking for someone who is naturally compassionate, who can help us deliver exceptional care. This role is about being committed to the wellbeing of each person, looking after any complex needs with real sensitivity.
The post holder will need to show respect, understand the rights to privacy and demonstrate high professional standards of propriety in their day‑to‑day work. The ideal candidate should also show a keen interest in learning and growing their skills through additional required training, peer mentoring and frequent performance reviews.

Expected Health Standards

Required Criteria

Desired Criteria
* GCSE (or equivalent) A‑C in English and Maths
* A social care qualification such as Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care
