Southampton Solent University’s Warsash Maritime School is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Nautical Science to contribute to the delivery of our specialist Deck Officer seafarer programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The role also involves participating in the school's commercial and research activities, aiming to enhance the student experience.

Candidate Requirements
* Management-level certificate of competence from a UK Flag State Endorsement recognized country.
* Undergraduate and/or postgraduate qualification in a relevant subject (e.g., Shipping and Maritime Operations, Nautical Science, Maritime Business).
* Flexibility to teach across a wide range of topics and academic levels.
Additional Details
* Starting salary will depend on qualifications and experience within the specified salary band.
* This role includes a WMA allowance of 10% of the base salary.
* 35 days of leave, plus public holidays and scheduled university closure periods.
* Opportunities for professional development up to PhD level and to undertake a postgraduate teaching qualification.
* Expected start date: September 2025.
