We are seeking an experienced Internal Communications Manager to join our busy team. You’ll need to be hands-on and comfortable rolling up your sleeves. Right now, we’re working with a limited budget and light resources - but as the function matures, so will the investment. You’ll help shape that journey from the inside. Purpose of the role This is a delivery-focused role responsible for managing day-to-day internal communications across dnata Catering UK. You’ll plan and coordinate communications that keep our colleagues informed and involved, ensuring messaging is consistent, clear and aligned with our tone of voice. This role plays a key part in helping the business strengthen its internal comms culture - working with different teams, personalities and locations to build trust in the function and raise the standard of what ‘good’ looks like. This position collaborates closely with the Head of Change Communications to ensure consistent narrative and tone of voice. Key responsibilities Planning and coordination Own and manage the internal comms calendar – working with HR, Ops and site teams to plan and deliver regular updates. Write, edit and publish engaging content that makes colleagues feel connected to the business. Lead on comms delivery for HR campaigns (wellbeing, inclusion, benefits, policy updates, recognition, onboarding). Support the delivery of internal campaigns by preparing toolkits, email content, manager briefings, FAQs and visuals. Work with teams and stakeholders who may be new to internal comms, helping guide them through the process with patience, clarity, and a focus on outcomes. Coordinate logistics for campaigns and events - making sure materials are delivered, messaging is on brand, and things run smoothly. Channel and platform management Maintain and update key internal channels - digital screens, intranet, newsletters, posters and printed materials. Establish and grow our presence on Viva Engage (internal social media), encouraging uptake and interaction across functions and frontline roles. Monitor engagement and provide regular insight to improve activity across key channels. Tone, alignment and process Work closely with the Head of Strategic Change Communications to make sure all comms are aligned, consistent in tone, and reflect our internal voice. Follow the internal comms process - supporting other teams to do the same and flagging when something’s off-track or rushed. Support a culture shift towards clearer, more joined-up communication, helping the business understand the role of comms in driving culture, clarity and engagement. Support translation and inclusive comms efforts, working with site leaders and the wider team to reach colleagues across different languages and literacy levels. Events and campaigns Support the comms side of internal events, including roadshows, town halls, manager briefings and Listening Groups. Coordinate logistics, briefing notes and follow-up comms for internal engagement activity. Work closely with the HR function and business to drive employee engagement Collaborate with dnata Group colleagues on group-wide initiatives such as Safety Week, recognition campaigns and global celebrations — ensuring UK participation is well represented and aligned. Help build visibility of leaders and initiatives by capturing stories, celebrating teams and sharing real voices across channels. Social media and EVP support Provide light-touch support for external social media, working within Group strategy and guidelines. Work with HR, recruitment and marketing teams to surface stories and content that support our employer brand, culture and talent attraction goals. Coordinate posts around events, awards, or colleague stories that showcase our values and working environment in an authentic way.
