Assist in the implementation of tailored learning plans, working alongside teachers, therapists, and support staff. Help students develop social, communication, and life skills, preparing them for greater independence. Support students with emotional regulation and behaviour management, ensuring a positive learning environment. Work in collaboration with speech & language therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists to enhance student learning and development. Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant – Candidate Specification A 2:1 or above degree in Psychology, Education, Health & Social Care, or a related field. A genuine passion for working with young people with SEN. Strong communication, empathy, and patience. Previous experience in mentoring, tutoring, support work, or SEN environments is highly desirable. Resilience and adaptability, with the ability to approach challenges positively.
