Job Summary
Enhance Learning and Support has an exciting opportunity available for a Special School Nurse Associate role at Exhall Grange Specialist School, they will join an already established School Nursing service and support the Nurse and Nursing Assistant in meeting the health needs of pupils.
The purpose of this role is to support the special school nursing team in the delivery of high-quality nursing care to children and young people access education.
You will need to work independently under leadership of registered nurses working to national recognised code of conduct and standards of proficiency for Nursing Associates.
We are committed to clinical support, continued professional development and training.
Exhall Grange Specialist School provides educational provision to children and young people with special education needs aged from 4-19 years across both primary and secondary school.
Main Duties
* Provide compassionate, safe and effective care and support children and young people with a range of health needs access education.
* Contribute to the assessment, planning implementation and evaluation of care in association with the registered nurse.
* To undertake training relevant to the role.
* Recognise and work within the limits of their competence
* Exercise personal responsibility and work independently within defined parameters of practice, taking the intuitive in a variety in a variety of situations and performing a range of clinical and care skills consistent with the role, responsibilities and professional values of Nursing Associate.

Enhance Learning and Support is a specialised nursing service in the field of learning disabilities, we provide support to a number of schools across Warwickshire to support children and young people with learning disabilities access school regardless of their health needs.
Enhance Learning and Support school nursing team consists of a Service Manager, School Nurses, Nurse Associates, School Nursing Assistant, Healthcare Assistants and Support Workers to meet the diverse needs of our customers. We all work across different bases to ensure continuity of our service. The school nursing team is committed to providing high quality health care to children and young people in a special school setting.
