Overview
The post holder will be expected to be able to manage their own workload and respond to the many interruptions of a busy school office. The successful applicant needs to be committed, flexible and motivated in their work. Training and support will be provided to the successful applicant.
Responsibilities
* Work with Office Manager to provide high quality, efficient and effective support to the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team.
* Responsible for supporting the development and training of admin team members.
* Management of manual and computerised records and information systems.
* Providing HR administrative support.
* Liaising with staff, pupils and parents to meet the requirements of the academy including arranging events, work experience and administering cover for absent staff.

Qualification and experience
Thomas Bewick School is seeking to appoint a Lead Administrator with relevant experience (in a school or similar environment) to join our busy, friendly admin team to start as soon as possible. The position would suit current administrative assistants who are highly motivated and interested in a career in administration.
Context and school information
Thomas Bewick School is a specialist provision for autistic children and young people aged 3-19 years with a range of abilities and differences associated with Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC). All pupils have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). The school is arranged over four sites and offers an ASC specific environment with specialist facilities and activities. Prosper Learning Trust oversees multiple schools and values Aspiration, Integrity, Resilience and Kindness.
Trust and sites
The Trust currently has five schools in the region and is the lead partner in the opening of a new Free School in Jarrow, South Tyneside. The successful candidate may be deployed at Thomas Bewick School but may work at any Prosper Learning Trust site as needed.
