We’re now looking for a Business Reporting Financial Analyst to join our expanding Finance Team. This is a newly created role, offering the chance to make a real impact and help shape how our organisation uses data to drive strategic decision-making. About The Role As a Business Reporting Financial Analyst, you’ll play a key role in strengthening our Business Intelligence and financial planning capabilities. You will: Design and develop new BI KPIs and reporting tools that give the business clear, actionable insights. Produce accurate, timely and insightful reports to support strategic decisions. Contribute to forecasting and budgeting, aligning financial plans with company growth goals. Explore and analyse financial data during our system transition, helping identify opportunities to streamline and improve reporting processes. Key Responsibilities Build Power BI dashboards and reports from the ground up, including connecting to data sources and creating effective visualisations. Present financial insights, trends and forecasts to senior leaders and key stakeholders. Support budgeting by tracking spend and analysing variances against plans. Produce weekly and monthly financial reports, ensuring accuracy and clarity. Prepare both financial and non-financial returns for external bodies, meeting all compliance requirements. Work closely with the accounting team to ensure consistency and accuracy across all financial reporting activities. About You – Essential Skills & Experience We’re looking for someone who: Has at least 2 years’ experience in a financial or reporting analyst role. Understands core accounting principles, backed by an accounting qualification or relevant training. Is enthusiastic about building intuitive, efficient reports and understands data structures and how to integrate multiple data sources. Has strong Excel skills and experience with financial reporting tools such as Power BI or Planning Analytics. Can interpret complex data and translate it into clear, actionable insights. Communicates financial information confidently to non-financial audiences, both verbally and in writing. Desirable Skills Experience using SQL or Microsoft Query for data extraction and manipulation. Working towards a recognised accounting qualification such as ACCA or CIMA.Required Criteria Has at least 2 years’ experience in a financial or reporting analyst role.
