Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Senior Carer with experience in end-of-life care to join our committed team. This is a rewarding role where you'll support residents with life-limiting conditions, ensuring they receive comfort, dignity, and quality care in their final days.
Responsibilities
* Supporting residents with personal care and emotional reassurance
* Supervising and mentoring care staff to maintain best practice
* Liaising with families, GPs, nurses, and palliative care professionals
* Monitoring residents\' wellbeing and promptly responding to changes
* Upholding dignity, respect, and sensitivity at all times, to assist our residents at the end stages of their lives and to make this as comfortable as possible
Requirements
* NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
* Prior experience in a senior carer or end-of-life/palliative care role
* Compassionate, calm, and emotionally resilient nature
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
* A genuine commitment to person-centred care, End-of-life care training (e.g., Gold Standards Framework, Six Steps)
* Experience supporting families through bereavement
* Knowledge of Advance Care Planning and DNACPR processes
* This role is primarily working night shifts with occasional day shifts. Are you able to commit to night shifts.
