Responsibilities
Lead the delivery of a comprehensive and integrated Medical Retina Ophthalmology service across Hinchingbrooke, Stamford and Peterborough hospitals.
Provide MR outpatient clinics and theatre sessions.
Coordinate and contribute to the training of medical staff, hospital‑based optometrists and orthoptic staff within the NWAFT MR service.
Manage day‑to‑day operations of clinics, ensuring coverage during absences.
Advise and support clinicians in other services during shared‑care episodes involving patients with multiple ocular problems.
Provide any additional subspecialty skills that enhance the service; additional cataract operating sessions will be available based on operating experience.
